Job Description

Regent at Burnsville, a Cassia community, is hiring a  Cook  to join our team in  Burnsville, MN!  This is your opportunity to join a solid, stable, and a fun team that will support your career growth. As a  Cook at Regent , you will partner with the Dietary Manager and Regional Dietitian to plan menus. You will use your creativity to make culinary delights using fresh, high-end ingredients. Your passion for cooking nutritious and appetizing meals will be highly valued by our residents. The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of commercial cooking experience and is comfortable following recipes and dietary guidelines.

 

Position Type:  Full-Time

Shifts Available:
Sunday – Thursday
Sunday and Monday 10:00 am – 6:00 pm
Tuesday – Thursday 6:00 am – 2:00 pm

Wage Range: $21.50 - $25 / hour depending on experience

Cook Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional service to residents by providing fast, friendly and excellent customer service to all guests.
  • Prepare and cook all meals to ensure adherence to recipes and quality standards.
  • Observe and report on low stock or high-demand choices.
  • Observe and report on resident change of condition or changes in ability.
  • Participate in meetings and required training to maintain regulatory standards of food service at the community.
  • Inspect kitchen for conformance to government and company safety and sanitation requirements.
  • Perform additional tasks as needed.
Cook Qualifications:
  • 1+ year commercial cooking/ food preparation experience required.
  • Selected candidates are required to pass background checks.
  • Must be able to read and follow recipes.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Ability to stand for length of shift.
  • Baking experience a plus!
