Note: This is a 6-month contract to hire position paying around $65/hr-$70/hr. This position will be servicing different projects in Northern California.
Ideal qualifications:
7-10 years of experience within the construction industry
Hands-on experience excavating and grading.
Operating an Excavator over 80,000lbs
1 year of Superintendent experience or 5+ years of Foreman Experience
Experience working with Health and Safety Experience working with a Budget how to analyze and implement it
Experience working with General Contractors or consultants
Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field
40-Hr HAZWOPER or 8-Hr HAZWOPER Refresher
Insight Global is looking for an Environmental Superintendent to work for a large environmental construction company in the Bay Area. This candidate will be starting each day at 6:45 am by holding a tailgate meeting. This is where all crew will attend and participate in discussing site hazards and key safety behaviors; there will also be a visual PPE inspection. Then there will be a daily Permit to work/AHA meeting where you discuss with the entire crew on the days activities and hazards. You will be responsible for reviewing individual assignments and ensuring equipment and tool inspections are conducted daily to ensure everything is always in good order. Being organized within this role is essential when having to maintain accurate daily notes and field logs. You will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling required subcontractors for each project as well as determining the materials needed and timing of delivery to perform work. Perform daily reports of labor, equipment, and material utilization, along with daily production to track daily job costs. Reviewing the approved budget against actual job costs and production factors for the Project Manager. Understanding the scope of work and identifying change order conditions if necessary. Perform H&S-related activities and all other duties as assigned by Management. The Foreman onsite will be the Superintendent go-to while supporting all tasks above on a daily basis. If the driving radius required for the project you deploy to is beyond 60 miles the client will pay for mileage and drive time. This position requires timeliness and dedication.
