Job Title: Estimator – General Contractor (Multi-Family, Hotels, Apartments, Condominiums)

Location: Miami, Florida

Salary: $120,000 - $160,000 per year

Job Description:

As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in the pre-construction process, providing accurate and competitive cost estimates for a wide range of large-scale projects. You will be responsible for analyzing project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare detailed cost breakdowns and develop strategies to optimize project budgets. Your expertise will help ensure our client’s continued success in bidding and executing projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze project plans, drawings, and specifications to determine project scope and costs.
  • Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for multi-family, hotel, apartment complex, and condominium projects.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimating purposes.
  • Conduct site visits to assess project conditions and gather additional data.
  • Evaluate and recommend cost-saving strategies, value engineering, and alternate methods for construction.
  • Develop bid proposals and submit them to clients in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market conditions, material costs, and industry trends.
  • Track project costs throughout the construction process to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
  • Assist with preparing project budgets and schedules based on estimates.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience as an Estimator in the general contracting industry, with a focus on large-scale multi-family, hotel, apartment, and condominium projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction costs, methods, and industry standards.
  • Proficient in using estimating software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, or similar).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Knowledge of Florida building codes and regulations is a plus.
