Compliance/CRA Officer

We’re seeking an experienced Compliance/CRA Officer to join our team and take a lead role in ensuring regulatory excellence across the organization. In this critical position, you’ll guide the compliance framework, support regulatory readiness, and champion our efforts in community reinvestment. This role will be responsible for

  • Directing and managing the bank’s Regulatory Compliance Program
  • Developing and maintaining an effective Compliance Program and advising departments on compliance-related issues
  • Acting as a liaison with regulatory examiners and managing resolution of findings
  • Leading compliance-related committees and driving dissemination of regulatory updates
  • Overseeing consumer compliance, insider loan reviews, marketing review, and compliance testing
  • Managing CRA performance, outreach, training, tracking, and reporting
  • Monitoring and ensuring compliance across all bank departments and operations
  • Collaborating on new product and service implementations to ensure regulatory alignment

Expectations will include

  • Staying current with laws, regulations, and industry developments
  • Coordinating compliance training programs and tracking completion across the organization
  • Maintaining and leveraging tracking systems (e.g., Ncomply) to manage regulatory compliance
  • Conducting and coordinating regular internal compliance reviews and audits
  • Preparing and presenting compliance and CRA reports to management and the Board
  • Ensuring the bank maintains a CRA rating of “Satisfactory” or higher
  • Building strong relationships with regulators, internal stakeholders, and community partners
  • Managing multiple compliance-related projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines

A qualified candidate will possess the following

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred with at least five years of banking compliance and CRA experience
  • Familiarity with compliance and CRA tracking platforms (experience with Ncomply is a plus)
  • Strong work ethic and ability to manage competing priorities
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and analytical skills
  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate across departments
  • Detail-driven approach with a proactive and problem-solving attitude
