Job Summary:

CJR Renewables is seeking a highly qualified and motivated Civil Engineer with a Professional Engineer (PE) license to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have experience in civil engineering design and project management, particularly in the renewable energy sector. The role requires the ability to stamp and seal engineering drawings and ensure compliance with safety standards,

Key Responsibilities:

  • Civil Design & Engineering : Lead the design and development of civil engineering systems for renewable energy projects, including site grading, drainage systems, foundations, roads, and utilities.
  • Stamping & Sealing Drawings : Review, approve, and stamp civil engineering drawings to ensure compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Project Oversight : Manage and oversee civil engineering aspects of renewable energy projects from initial design through construction, ensuring timely, cost-effective, and quality delivery.
  • Site Assessments : Conduct site evaluations and geotechnical assessments to support the design and planning of energy projects, including solar, wind, and energy storage systems.
  • Code Compliance : Ensure all civil engineering designs adhere to local, state, and federal building codes, environmental regulations, and safety standards.
  • Collaboration : Work closely with other engineers, project managers, contractors, and clients to develop and deliver integrated solutions for renewable energy projects.
  • Construction Support : Provide technical support during construction, including review of contractor submittals, RFIs, and change orders.
  • Documentation & Reporting : Prepare and review reports, proposals, and technical documentation, ensuring clear communication of design concepts, calculations, and project progress.
  • Continuous Improvement : Stay current with industry trends, civil engineering best practices, and regulatory changes in renewable energy projects.

Required Qualifications:

  • Professional Engineer (PE) License : Must hold a valid PE license in Civil Engineering and be able to stamp and seal civil engineering drawings.
  • Education : Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Experience : Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering design and project management, with specific experience in renewable energy projects preferred.
  • Technical Skills : Proficiency in civil design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar), with experience in grading, drainage, and infrastructure design.
  • Code Knowledge : Deep understanding of civil engineering codes, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Strong Communication Skills : Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams and with clients.
  • Problem-Solving : Strong analytical skills with the ability to solve complex engineering problems efficiently.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in renewable energy projects (solar, wind, energy storage, etc.).
  • Master's degree in civil engineering or related field.
  • Familiarity with stormwater management and environmental impact assessments.
  • Experience with construction management or site development.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to perform on-site evaluations and manage site development activities.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds when necessary.
  • Occasional travel to project sites.

Pay: DOE (Depends on experience)
