Job Title: Orientation and Mobility Specialist

Location: Rio Grande Valley, Texas (Upper, Middle and Lower)

Starting Pay: $45-$50/hour

Schedule: 25–35 hours/week

License Required: TX Orientation and Mobility Specialist License

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Orientation and Mobility Specialist to join our team in the Rio Grande Valley area for the 25/26 school year. In this rewarding position, you’ll work with individuals with visual impairments, helping them develop the skills necessary to travel safely and independently in a variety of environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and develop individualized orientation and mobility plans
  • Provide direct instruction in orientation and mobility techniques
  • Collaborate with families, educators, and service providers
  • Maintain accurate records and progress reports

Requirements:

  • Valid Texas Orientation and Mobility Specialist License
  • 1 year of experience working with individuals with visual impairments preferred
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Passion for helping others achieve independence

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract

Pay: $45.00 - $50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 35 per week
