Job Description

Monitor casting machine operation and adjust as needed according to procedures. Maintenance of die in cast machine and small maintenance items of machine. Inspect wheels visually to ensure cosmetic standards are met. Must be able to use hands and tools. Knowledge of working in and around hot dies and hot machines, hot aluminum, per procedures. Completion of daily paperwork, PMCL, X-O Sheets, Honeywell chart paper and any other forms required by group leader or supervisor. Proper handling of wheels. Basic knowledge of robot start, reset, resume.

Responsibility

1. Learning skills: Demonstrate knowledge and ability of above skills within qualifying period.
2. Safety: Responsible for casting PPE, 5S, reporting safety issues, reporting accidents, etc. use of lift assist unit.
3. Quality: Monitor casting machine air gauge checks and die temperatures, inspect all wheels visually and rework as necessary to ensure cosmetic standards are met.
4. Output: Meet daily yield and production targets, and work overtime when scheduled.
5. Cost Control: Avoid excessive use of new gloves, flapper wheels, screens and other supplies.
6. Teamwork/Communications: Work with rovers and group leader to meet daily yield and production goals.
7. Attendance: Demonstrate excellent attendance.
8. Deflashing of wheel per procedures (visual aids).

Entry Level Qualifications

1. High school diploma (or equivalent).
2. Visual ability, including color discrimination.
3. Ability to pass Functional Capacity Exam and skill testing per above job responsibilities.
4. Working knowledge of SPC charts.
