Unicorn Role Overview:

We are looking for a skilled Remote Bookkeeper to support a variety of clients across multiple internal departments. In this role, you will handle bank reconciliations, payroll entries, financial reporting, and client communications to ensure accuracy and clarity. All bookkeeping work undergoes a Financial Review process before completion.

This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate within a team. You will report to 1-2 managers, participate in daily calls, and work alongside accountants, tax professionals, and CPAs to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.

What You’ll Do:

  • Perform bank reconciliations, payroll entries, and financial reporting (monthly and annually).
  • Update financial records in QuickBooks Online (QBO), QuickBooks Desktop (QBD), and Xero as assigned.
  • Communicate with clients to clarify financial matters and ensure accuracy.
  • Collaborate within a team of 5-10 professionals, working on financial tasks and client projects.
  • Ensure timely updates of financial data received annually, monthly, or weekly.
  • Adapt to client needs and shifting priorities while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience with QuickBooks Online (QBO) and QuickBooks Desktop (QBD) (Preferred).
  • Experience with Xero Accounting Software.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, business operations, and tax preparation.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills—clients expect quick and accurate responses.
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure, shifting focus as needed.
  • Team-oriented mindset with a proactive, solution-driven approach.

Time Commitment: Full-Time, 40 hours per week

Schedule: Monday - Friday, PST (Exact hours TBD)
