Job Description

JOB OBJECTIVES

This position supports project management working with various parts such as engineering, procurement, fabrication and construction while assisting the Project Control Team which is in charge of controlling budgets and schedule, managing each division's performance, and generates daily/weekly/monthly report reports for the client and HQ

Translating information in Korean and in English, verbally or in writing in meetings or proofreading documents

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Overall support for sub-orders (RFP PKG writing, bidding, subcontractor selection, clarifications, contracts, managing change orders, settlements)
  • Attend project meetings (translation/interpretations supports or following up on business matters, change order management, contract change, etc.)
  • Recording meeting minutes (MOM) and the agenda for meetings, daily activity logs and other documentation.(if necessary)
  • Researching project related information (news monitoring, searching for information of contractors, etc. information required for the project)
  • Coordinate meetings, sending emails to external companies or any other interested parties (dealing with and document controlling official documents, business contact, other work, etc.)
  • Document controlling (document organization, translation, report writing, Daily or Weekly or Monthly Report writing, System utilization document upload and database work, etc.)
  • Project budget management (project outlook, execution budget balance/change management, sales/budget performance monitoring)
  • Project contract management (subcontracting/subcontracting ordering, contract change, completed execution)
  • Utilizing SAP (ERP System) and internal systems (organization management system update, budget management system update)
  • Project Schedule & Progress Planning / Controlling / Analyzing (Forecasting)
  • Weekly / Monthly Schedule Reporting - Subcontractor Schedule Review and Eot Claim analysis - Interface co-ordination with the Client, National State and Local Authorities, and third parties carrying out project responsibilities including other contractors working at site
  • Assumes other responsibilities as assigned by the Company

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Must be eligible to work in the US legally without visa sponsorship
  • Korean/English bilingual is a must (Native proficiency including writing and reading)

BA/BS degree of related field

  • At least 3 Years of experience required in any office/site environment (engineering degree preferred but not mandatory, experience working in a Korean company or working as an interpreter in the construction industry preferred)
  • Strong ability to multitask and complete deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills
  • Demonstration of strong compliance to procedures and guidelines
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, demanding environment with a mixed culture
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and follow-ups
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive grasp and/or high interest in the plant industry terminology, idiomatic expressions, and contextual usage for effective interpretation/communication
  • Having strong ownership and having a proactive attitude with a risk-managing mindset
  • Analytical thinking and demonstrated ability to solve problems
  • Proficiency in MS Office(Excel Query), PDF Programs
  • Familiar with programs such as Trimble

Desirable/Preferred Skills

  • At least 1-3 years of related experience (construction project scheduling/ controlling/ forecasting
  • Experience in high-tech (semiconductor) product projects
  • Experience in steel structure installations
  • Experience of projects of more than 50M USD
  • Experience in industrial and factory projects
  • Experience in overseas/domestic EPC project experience
  • International and multi-cultural experience a plus
  • Experience working with Trimble, Procore, Primavera P6, SAP

(Knows how to set-up P6 planning, high knowledge on data control in order to execute controlling and scheduling), Power BI

  • Experience working with RFPs and construction contracts
