Role Description

The Beer Brand Manager is responsible for leading brand strategy, programming execution, and brand economics for a subset of brands in the TBS beer portfolio. Ideal candidates want to own a brand P&L in addition to developing creative brand strategy. Said differently, this is both a highly creative and highly quantitative role.

Brand Strategy & Marketing:

  • Leads marketing strategy and program origination for key portfolio brands
  • Creates trade and consumer marketing initiatives on an ongoing basis
  • Develops and manage brand budgets
  • Launches new packages and styles
  • Evaluates brand ROI of sales and marketing investments
  • Manages 3rd party agencies as needed (creative, PR, digital, etc.)
  • Partners with non-TBS brands for collaborative opportunities to drive consumer awareness

Sales & Programming Execution:

  • Educates and trains sales team on key brand initiatives
  • Monitors and supports field sales efforts against these initiatives
  • Identifies data-driven areas for sales to improve performance against the brands (pricing, assortment, account targeting, geographical, etc.)
  • Directly participates in efforts and penetrate and grow key accounts

Supplier Partnerships:

  • Acts as the lead daily interface with key portfolio suppliers
  • Maintains command of overall brand performance, including sales trends, pricing and profitability, competitive activity, and marketing programs

  • Ability to communicate complex concepts in clear concise language; to demonstrate active listening while engaging others; and to establish, implement, and clearly communicate strategies that align with business needs and objectives to gain buy-in from stakeholder

Supervisory Responsibility

This position is an individual contributor role and does not supervise other employees.

Work Environment & Travel

This job operates in the TBS office in Charleston with up to 20% travel.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time salaried position.

Required Education and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, public relations, communications, business, advertising, or other related field of study

Experience leveraging primary research, data and consumer insights into actionable business initiatives

2+ years brand management experience preferred but not required

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

Starting pay will be based on several factors including but not limited to experience, training, education, geographic location.
