Job Description

The Automotive body Technician is critical in delivering an exceptional customer experience—both internally and externally—at our service locations. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, excellent customer service abilities, and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.

This position involves daily collaboration with internal partners to address service needs and coordinate with our Service, Vehicle & Delivery Operations, and Field Service Engineer teams. We seek a dynamic and resourceful professional with strong oral and written communication skills who can foster cross-functional teamwork and promote a culture of continuous improvement.

To excel in this role, you must have a customer-first approach, adaptability in ambiguous situations, and a creative, flexible problem-solving mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Support daily Amazon EDV business operations, including shuttling vehicles between delivery stations as needed.
  • Perform pre-delivery inspections on new vehicles following documented guidelines and checklists.
  • Accurately document and report pre-delivery inspection results.
  • Diagnose, repair, install, and inspect vehicles per assigned tasks.
  • Provide field support for vehicle repairs outside of a service center.
  • Conduct road tests to confirm the quality of repairs.
  • Manage parts operations, including ordering, receiving, shipping, and inventory management.
  • Stay updated with technical training and required certifications.
  • Support campaigns and containment initiatives as needed.

Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of experience in an automotive repair shop is needed
  • Proficient in using hand tools and power tools.
  • Experience with diagnosing, repairing, installing, and inspecting vehicles per assigned tasks.
  • Ability to drive a non-commercial truck and trailer preferred.
  • Experience with work order management systems and repair documentation.
  • Clean driving record
