Position: Structural/Assembly Supervisor
Location: Fully onsite in Oregon, WI
Duration : Permanent, FTE
Payrate : $75,000-90,000/yr
Shift: WEEKEND SHIFT: 6am-6:30pm Friday/Saturday/Sunday - work 3, 12-hour shifts, paid for 40 hours per week.
Required Skills & Experience
-Someone with at least 5 years of leadership experience within a construction/manufacturing environment.
-Has lead a team of at least 10 people at once.
-Effectively communicate all expectations with different levels of employees.
-Coach, train and mentor, and hold teams accountable. Ability to have difficult conversations while leading with respect.
-Well-versed working in a fast paced environment, extremely detail oriented and organized.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
-Preferably construction background instead of manufacturing
-Language Ability: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
-Math Ability: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
-Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
-Computer Skills: Computer skills primarily include manufacturing equipment operation and only as trained. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and email is desired.
Job Description
1. Interfaces with managers, and supervisors from other departments coordinating supporting needs and output activities from those departments.
2. Assists with prioritizing workloads and the Coordination of manpower requirements by increasing or decreasing personnel and overtime to meet changing conditions to ensure customer order deadlines are met.
3. Studies production schedules for proper shop floor production layout and ensures materials needed are accessible to assigned builder crews.
4. Assists with training and executing process improvements as recommended through the quality management system.
5. Supports and trains on suggested changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew.
6. Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems.
7. Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
8. Reports machine and equipment malfunctions to Assembly Superintendent or Management.
9. Performs activities of employees supervised.
10. Interprets company policies to employees, enforces safety regulations, and assists with performance evaluations.
11. Other duties as assigned.
