Korn Ferry Military Division has partnered with our client on their search for a Field Service Technician Apprentice (for Commercial/HVAC Refrigeration) to cover their Southeast service area – ideally based out of Jacksonville FL, Savannah GA or Charleston SC.

Travel: Up to 100% locally within the service branch area (company vehicle provided.) Includes travel from home to job sites and to/from the Service branch; will shadow a Sr. Technician during Apprenticeship.

TRAVEL: up to 100% during training/Apprenticeship - ROAD WARRIOR NEEDED!

Compensation: $25.00/hr + OT (+ company laptop and cell phone. Service vehicle will be provided after training is complete.)

What You Will Do :

This role will initially involve 100% high travel , during Apprenticeship. Looking for someone motivated to learn and excel in the field of refrigeration troubleshooting and maintenance services – unlimited opportunity for growth!

In the ‘Apprentice’ role, you will shadow and train under a Sr Field Service Technician.

Principle Accountabilities of the Service Technician:

• Execute routine maintenance, contractual planned maintenance contract work, and emergency service work independently or with apprentice assistance.
• Complete service reports for planned service and maintenance contracts as necessary.
• Support customers with commercial/industrial refrigeration system and equipment troubleshooting, including control systems, for system issues.
• Work on split & parallel rack systems holding 80+ lbs. of refrigerant, chillers, packaged units & control systems.
• Will work on 480V, 3-phase power systems, motors, and controls.
• Diagnose electrical/mechanical issues using multimeters, gauges, and software tools.
• Provide client interaction and technical support on-site; maintain accurate service records.
• Will participate in on-call rotation every 8 weeks for emergency service (as needed.)

Education and Work Experience:

• Must be authorized to work in U.S.
• At least 4 years U.S. Military experience required ; specifically looking for transitioning TECHNICAL military veterans; candidates who want to learn the industry and grow with the company.
• Must have a drive/desire to develop strong customer service skills and grow in their field.
• Valid driver’s license required; must be willing to travel locally (up to 90-100%)
