Outside Sales Representative - Manufacturing & Coatings Industry

Position Overview
Ultimate Staffing Services is seeking a driven Outside Sales Representative for a leading provider in the manufacturing and coatings industry based in Hunt Valley, MD . This role is ideal for a proactive sales professional eager to expand business opportunities, foster client relationships, and gain hands-on technical knowledge in a dynamic, high-demand industry.

Job Responsibilities

Business Development (75% Local Field Sales)

  • Generate new business through in-person cold calling and onsite visits.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of leads across multiple industries.
  • Conduct field sales presentations , showcasing the company's services and benefits.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to drive sales growth and market expansion.

Quoting & Technical Knowledge

  • Learn the technical aspects of powder coating through hands-on training, including production processes.
  • Work closely with the production team to ensure accurate quotes and project timelines.
  • Prepare customized, competitive quotes that highlight company capabilities.

Customer Service & Relationship Management

  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries and concerns.
  • Monitor project progress and ensure customer satisfaction through regular communication.
  • Build and maintain long-term client relationships with follow-ups and exceptional service.
  • Serve as a liaison between customers and production teams to ensure smooth project execution.

Backup Support for Division Manager

  • Step in as the backup point of contact for the Division Manager during absences.
  • Manage key client or internal needs to ensure operational continuity.
  • Work with internal teams to maintain productivity and address urgent matters.

Qualifications

  • Proven outside sales, field sales, or business development experience (manufacturing or coatings preferred).
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills .
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule.
  • Eagerness to learn technical skills through hands-on training.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.

Work Schedule & Compensation

  • Schedule : Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (75% local travel required).
  • Base Salary : $50,000+ (depending on experience).
  • Commission Opportunities available.
