Job Description

As Junior Product Designer you will work across both the Design and Materials team to deliver the design and product strategy for Arhaus’ Furniture, Upholstery product categories. Bringing innovative, and aspirational product design to the retail marketplace.

With the direction and support of the senior team, you will aid in the production of market leading design and high-quality product visuals for your categories. Contributing to and supporting a high-performance team culture, while delivering against the business and product strategy, successfully contributing to continued growth in the homeware and interiors market.

Core Job Functions

  • Working closely with the senior team, design market leading product collections, across Furniture, Upholstery and Lighting categories whilst being mindful that key milestone dates are met.
  • Create 3D visualizations of room-sets and upholstery, presenting realistic examples of our fabric assortment on both existing and new product lines, for internal executive use.
  • Contribute and identify new design concepts and materials at the beginning of every season. Promoting innovation and market leading design thinking
  • Alongside cross-department peers, aid in the products development journey from briefing through to sample approval.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Development peers to ensure product brief intents are executed to the highest standard, while learning the commercial expectations of price and margin
  • Aid in the preparation of seasonal presentations and reviews
  • Demonstrate a good awareness of competitors and external industry trends
  • Support and contribute towards being part of a high functioning team
  • Conduct yourself in a manner which enables a high-performance culture, where every team member is supported and empowered to successfully contribute to the overall business objectives

Requirements

  • Four-year college degree in product design.
  • 1-2 years’ experience in design, ideally homeware market.
  • Displays a good level of design and product development experience, with an eagerness for growth
  • Experience in using 3D CAD and rendering software, ideally Fusion 360, SolidWorks compatible.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills
  • Ability to think strategically with strong decision-making skills
  • Ability to multitask effectively and to perform in a high-energy environment
  • Enjoys working in a changeable environment, able to demonstrate agility when responding to industry trends and evolving demands as Arhaus expands into new markets.
  • Able and willing to travel
