Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Installation Technician to provide top-tier installation and repair services to business customers. This role ensures all site protocols, health, and safety standards are met while delivering exceptional customer experiences. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and self-motivated with the ability to multi-task and learn new technologies.

Responsibilities:

• Perform installation, termination, testing, and repair of structured cabling systems (Cat 3, 5, 5E) following industry standards.
• Install and maintain network hardware, including switches, routers, firewalls, IP phones, wireless access points, and microwave radios.
• Work with NOC engineers to activate and troubleshoot services.
• Climb towers up to 300 feet to install or replace equipment.
• Participate in a rotating on-call schedule for 24/7 support.
• Follow safety regulations and maintain accurate records.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED with 1-2 years of experience in data/communications.
• ComTrain (or equivalent) tower climbing certification or ability to obtain it upon hire.
• Ability to distinguish cable colors and use testing equipment (power meters, cable toners, laptops).
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. and work in confined or elevated spaces.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a background check.

Standard hours are Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM, with occasional after-hours work as needed.
