Job Summary:
As a Game Capture Artist, you will play a critical role in creating visually stunning and engaging content for Snail Games titles. You will be responsible for capturing high-quality gameplay footage, organizing game assets, and working closely with development, marketing, and operations teams to ensure accurate and compelling representation of our games. The ideal candidate is proficient in Unreal Engine and Unity, has experience with streaming platforms, and possesses basic video editing skills to refine and enhance content.
Key Responsibilities:
Game Capture & Content Creation:
Capture dynamic in-game footage for trailers, promotional videos, key art, and social media content.
Stage and direct in-game action to showcase key gameplay mechanics, features, and cinematic moments.
Create engaging content for streaming and social media, including TikTok, YouTube, Twitch, and Instagram.
Creative & Technical Coordination:
Manage and organize captured assets, ensuring easy access and seamless collaboration across teams.
Work with developers, artists, and marketing teams to plan and execute capture sessions that align with marketing goals.
Assist in quality assurance (QA) testing by identifying visual inconsistencies, animation issues, and other game polish opportunities.
Editing & Production:
Edit gameplay footage into compelling promotional content, using basic video editing techniques to enhance visual appeal.
Optimize video assets for different platforms, ensuring high-quality output tailored for trailers, social media, and live streaming.
Engine & Platform Expertise:
Utilize Unreal Engine and Unity to navigate game builds, set up custom scenes, and adjust camera work for the best shots.
Work with in-game tools, debug cameras, and third-party software to capture polished gameplay content.
Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging capture technologies, and evolving best practices for video game marketing.
Experience & Technical Skills:
2+ years of experience in game capture, video editing, or a related field.
Strong proficiency in Unreal Engine and Unity for in-game camera operation and scene setup.
Familiarity with game development pipelines, debug tools, and in-game capture tools.
Experience with video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, or DaVinci Resolve.
Knowledge of streaming platforms (Twitch, YouTube, TikTok Live, etc.) and content creation best practices.
Creative & Communication Skills:
A keen eye for composition, cinematic storytelling, and dynamic gameplay presentation.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including marketing, development, and community managers.
Strong organizational skills to manage large amounts of footage and assets efficiently.
Bonus Skills (Preferred but not required):
Experience with 3D animation or motion graphics.
Familiarity with OBS, XSplit, or other streaming software.
Previous experience in QA testing or gameplay balancing.
