Job Title: Digital PR Specialist – Behavioral Health

Location: Torrance, CA (In-Office)

Employment Type: Full-Time

Compensation Range: $65,000-$70,000

We are seeking a strategic Digital PR Specialist to join our team. This in-office role requires exceptional writing abilities, strong media relations skills, and the capacity to develop compelling stories that earn high-quality coverage and backlinks while enhancing our digital presence in the behavioral health space.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute digital PR campaigns that generate trustworthy backlinks and media coverage in the healthcare industry.
  • Create newsworthy story angles and pitch compelling content to journalists, bloggers, and industry publications.
  • Write high-quality content including guest posts, expert commentary, and thought leadership pieces.
  • Build and nurture relationships with journalists, editors, and industry influencers.
  • Identify trending topics and newsjacking opportunities to secure media coverage and backlinks.
  • Collaborate with internal subject matter experts to develop unique insights and data-driven content.
  • Manage our brand presence across relevant directories and platforms.
  • Monitor and report on PR campaign performance, including coverage secured and traffic referred.
  • Work closely with the marketing and digital team to align PR efforts with broader content strategies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Journalism, Communications, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in digital PR, media relations, or content marketing
  • Exceptional writing skills with the ability to craft compelling narratives and adapt tones for different audiences.
  • Proven track record of securing media coverage and high-authority backlinks.
  • Experience with media monitoring tools and SEO platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain professional relationships with media contacts.
  • Excellent project management skills with ability to manage multiple campaigns.
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices and their relationship to PR metrics.
  • Understanding of behavioral health industry preferred.
